You can rent a car at Malaga airport from all the usual international car hire companies such as Hert, Europcar & Avis.

However we always recommend to our clients a local car hire company that we use ourselves when we are in Spain. We do not receive commission from this company but have always been impressed with their service when we use them ourselves. Their prices are always very competitive (but not necessarily the cheapest), there are no hidden costs, and the biggest benefit as far as we are concerned is that you are met by an agent at the airport and taken directly to the car - no queuing for hours, no masses of paperwork to be filled in, and no shuttle bus to car park!

The actual price will depend on size of car, duration of hire and time of year, but we have given an indication below of the costs for one week during summer.

However you can also hire a car locally if you do not wish to hire a car for your whole trip. We can advise you of some local firms on request, and details will be contained in your information pack within the apartment.

Airport Transfers

If you did not wish to hire a car for your stay (or for the whole stay) we can arrange for a car for your airport transfers.

A saloon car (3 persons + luggage) would cost approximately €85 each way. A people carrier (4-6 persons + luggage) would cost approximately €150 each way between the apartment and Malaga airport.
